Diversity and Multiculturalism

Diversity is variety of different aspects such as ethnics, gender, groups, etc. Having a diverse population brings different backgrounds, religions, traditions, and people together as a whole.

Diversity at Western Michigan University is bringing cultures and different ethnics together to increase the population of these smaller minorities. WMU's diversity and culture program offers a number of different groups such as Disability Services for Students, Faith and Spiritual Development, Multicultural Affairs, and many more. WMU values a diverse population and encourages diversity through these groups. These groups are made for a variety of purposes and encourage or offer students in need assistance, value their culture and traditions.
